Biography
Ray is an experienced professional who has worked in the Health, Education and Sport Science industry for over 20 years. He has lectured in PE teaching, coaching pedagogy and exercise and sport science, specialising in skill acquisition, biomechanics and exercise prescription, at University of Ballarat (now Federation University) and recently Swinburne University. Ray has previously held management positions at St Leonard's College, as Director of Health, Sport and Exercise Sciences, and North Melbourne Football Club in the AFL, as High Performance Manager and Coach. He believes in a holistic, integrated approach in teaching and coaching pedagogy and research. Ray's interests are using exercise for reducing pain and preventing chronic health conditions, injury prevention, teaching/coaching pedagogy and skill acquisition/game sense in sport. He currently lectures in exercise and sport science and coordinates the industry practicum placements for the exercise and sport science course.
