Dr Morshed Alam is a senior research fellow at Centre for Sustainable Infrastructure, Department of Civil and Construction, Swinburne University of Technology. He graduated in Mechanical Engineering with BSc Honours (First Class), from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology in 2007 and went on to complete a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the Swinburne University of Technology in 2012. After completing PhD, he worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at Department of Mechanical Engineering and product design engineering and Centre for Sustainable Infrastructure of Swinburne University until December 2015 before joining in the current position. He is an expert on Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modelling, thermal performance and energy consumption modelling of buildings, latent heat thermal energy storage system and sustainable buildings. His research interests include net-zero energy building, passive cooling technologies, heatwave resilient building, building energy retrofitting and risks in green building projects.
