Biography
Jennifer Piscionere is a Data Scientist in the Centre for Transformative Innovation at Swinburne University of Technology. She holds a Doctorate in Computational Astrophysics and a Masters in Physics from Vanderbilt University, and a BA in Astrophysics from Columbia University. Her thesis work was on quantifying the spatial clustering of galaxies in a massive Astronomical survey, resulting in two publications in the Astrophysical Journal. Her previous work at Swinburne included augmenting the Theoretical Astrophysical Observatory and as Postdoctoral Researcher studying the physical mechanisms that cause galaxies to form stars. This work will result in a publication, “The Relationship Between Late Type Galaxies and S0s.”
