Biography
Dr Joanna McIntyre is a Senior Lecturer in Media Studies. She is the co-editor of Gender and Australian Celebrity Culture (Routledge, 2021) and the author of Transgender Celebrity (Routledge, forthcoming 2022). Dr McIntyre has also published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and presented her research at over 25 national and international conferences. Her research involves a cutting-edge combination of media studies, celebrity studies, trans studies, and queer theory.
