Biography

Dr Elena Verezub (BEd (Hons), PhD in Ed. Psych., PhD in Education (Melb)) is Coordinator of the Learning and Academic Skills Centre, Office of PVC Student Engagement, at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. She has over 20 years of teaching experience in TESOL, Education and Educational Psychology, both in Australia and overseas. Elena’s professional and research interests include E-learning and hypertext literacy; peer support, research writing skills, workplace communication skills; embedding of academic literacy into curriculum; study expectations in Vocational Education and Higher Education environments; teaching language and academic skills to Vocational Education, undergraduate and postgraduate students; psychological aspects of text memorisation. She has published and presented numerous papers at national and international seminars, symposiums and conferences.
