Biography
Charlotte Pierce is a Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering. Her primary research interests lie at the intersection of computer science and music. As a trained computer scientist and proficient musician, she is uniquely placed to undertake high quality, high impact research in this multidisciplinary space. Recent work touches on the fields of computational creativity, educational technologies, teaching tools, mobile apps, computational musicology, serious games, evolutionary algorithms, music education, and artificial intelligence.
Charlotte also has a strong interest in computer science education, game technologies, and ludomusicology. She has extensive experience teaching introductory and intermediate programming, software patterns and design, and artificial intelligence.
