Biography
Bin was born, raised and educated in China. Bin started her teaching career in New Zealand where she earned her teaching qualification, worked as a teacher and later a lecturer. She continues to research in the intersections of Chinese and Australasian educational experience. Her research disciplines include sociology of education, educational history and philosophy. Her recent research has focused on Chinese history, philosophy and contemporary education, the experiences of Chinese women and migration. Overall her pre-occupation is with diversity and social justice, the way that ideas, past and current, affect the lives people live.
