Biography
Dr Alaa Al-Mosawe is a Research Fellow in Department of Civil and Construction Engineering at Swinburne University of Technology (Melbourne, Australia). His research interests include: FRP strengthening of steel structures under static and dynamic loadings, strengthening and rehabilitation of reinforced concrete structures using advanced composite materials, composite materials properties under extreme loadings and harsh environmental conditions, increasing fatigue life of steel joints and numerical modeling of FRP strengthening steel structures. He is also involved in teaching that includes: Design of Concrete Structures; Design of Steel Structures; Bridges Design; and Strengthening and Monitoring of Structures.
