Enchant photons-laser nanomaterial interactions
The laser nanomaterials research area investigates the fundamental light interactions with nanomaterials, in particular with 2D materials.
We aim to unveil the exotic fundamental physical properties of 2D materials for the development of next generation optoelectronic integrated devices for broad applications in energy, biomedical and communications. We conduct fundamental research on the science of light to develop optical instrumentation for light manipulation and nano/atomic control of materials.
Our research is currently supported by the Australian Research Council, Horticulture Innovation Australia, CRC, Defence Science Institute, and industrial funds.
Our laboratories are at Swinburne University of Technology.
