The ARC Training Centre in Biodevices aims to develop the next generation of industry-ready researchers and leaders.
The training program will support ten PhD students and two post-doctoral researchers. The Centre is housed in a dedicated, stimulating space, designed to encourage collaboration and teamwork. With strong links to the medical device industry, our research staff bring expertise in design, technology, business and innovation.
Australia has an active and successful industry sector in biomedical devices and diagnostics, including major companies such as Cochlear, Resmed and CSL. The broader commercial potential of the sector is widely recognised, but the future success of the industry remains dependent on a strong innovation pipeline and the development of skilled personnel.
This research is funded by the Australian Government through the Australian Research Council.
