Michelle Nulty brings over 20 years of professional experience to the Swinburne Professional Learning Advisor team.

A true leader and experienced Learning Advisor, Michelle has made her mark with her support for our students. “I’m here to assist, and I’m here to communicate options so that clients go away confident that they’re on the right path to drive their career forward”, Michelle said.

Michelle has a high level of enthusiasm and energy when it comes to finding the right course for the right learning need, and for every enquiry.

Michelle is friendly and approachable, and her honest and moral approach ensures that students get the right advice for their skills and career development.

She has leveraged her expertise to collaborate with a wide range of internal Swinburne stakeholders to truly develop a memorable educational journey for students.

Michelle said, “Over the course of my career, which spans more than 20 years now both nationally and internationally, I’ve established expertise across many industries and career paths. When people contact me for advice on their career and learning path, I’m practical and accurate in the advice and recommendations I give.”

Michelle understands the unique challenges professionals face when they choose to study, having completed a Bachelor of Applied Science, Nursing at Victoria University and currently studying a Diploma of Leadership and Management at Swinburne University of Technology.‌

Anne Basia is a learning professional who definitely knows her subject matter.

With her Bachelor in Biological Sciences, Graduate Certificate in Business, Graduate Certificate in Organisational Coaching, Graduate Diploma in Education, Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and Masters in Education, Anne has plenty of first-hand experience of studying at all levels.

Anne said, “I’m really engaged with my clients, and enjoy knowing that I’m helping them to design skills and career path that’s practical and is going to benefit them quickly.”

Anne has been with Swinburne Professional for almost five years now, and during that time has leveraged not only her study experience but her extensive business experience driving careers to make an impact on countless students.

From being National Learning & Development Management in the automotive and IT industry (as well as the Sydney Olympic Games), directing a range of business training solutions, and working as a Facilitator, Coaching and Consulting, Anne knows how to design careers from the ground up.

Anne is warm, professional and practical, and highly skilled at talking through career and skills aspirations and opportunities, and turning that into a learning plan that will achieve those professional goals.

In her time here, she’s quickly made her mark on her clients, providing practical, relevant and realistic advice to help them achieve their professional and learning goals.

Kerry brought with her six years of expertise in the broader education sector, including recruitment, sales, learning advisory, student services, accounts management, training and customer service.

This breadth of skills means she’s the perfect asset to any client who is seeking hands-on career knowledge and advice.

Kerry said, “It’s incredibly rewarding to be able to assist professionals, and provide guidance in order to help them reach their full potential and capabilities through learning and development.”

Kerry is practical, customer-centric, very solutions-oriented and resourceful. She’s also passionate about diversity and ensuring everyone gets the career opportunities they deserve.

Sybil joined the Swinburne Professional Learning Advisor team in 2018 and has already made her mark, advising and assisting a number of professionals into their new learning and development plans.

It hasn’t taken long for Sybil to decide that her favourite part of her role here at Swinburne Professional is encouraging potential students to take the next step in their career.

Sybil brings the perfect blend of expertise to her role, having extensive experience as a career advisor, professional study mentor and recruiter. She also knows what’s involved in studying while

working as a professional, having achieved a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma of Human Resources.

Sybil said, “My passion is to provide advice and guidance to students to take the next step towards ones’ career; whether it be to up-skill in a current profession, or to change career direction completely.”

“I find it highly rewarding to build a rapport with each person I speak with, as everyone has their own unique journey that they’re on. This rapport, and the open conversations, help me to ensure that I’m giving them the most relevant course options so they so they can feel confident in their future decision.”

Andy Healy is a new member of the growing Swinburne Professional Learning Advisor team, bringing with him over five years’ experience working in professional education and student work placements.

This blend of experience means he’s uniquely positioned to provide on-the-pulse career advice when it comes to upskilling, and ensuring his clients are on a learning path that will truly enhance their careers and earning potential.

Andy is already making his mark with this clients. “I particularly enjoy those phone conversations where the person I’m speaking with doesn’t know much about studying with Swinburne Professional. I love having the opportunity to fill in the gaps for them, answer their questions and get them excited about their study plans!”
