Features of Safe@Swin

The safety and security of our students, staff and on-campus visitors is extremely important to us. Safe@Swin makes accessing our safety and security services here at Swinburne quick, easy and discreetly. 

Features of the app include: 

  • Emergency contacts. Immediately contact emergency services with the push of a button. On campus you can contact Campus Security and request first aid assistance. Off campus you can contact Emergency Services on 000 (triple zero).
  • Personal safety toolbox. The toolbox has the Safer Community Night Bus timetables, as well as safety tools, including campus safety tips, virtual friend walk, and safety alarm.
  • Report a concern. Report a concern to Swinburne Security or Safer Community. You can take a photo or video and send it directly through the app, call Campus Security or report online.
  • Crisis Line. A direct link to the Swinburne Out-of-Hours Crisis Line. Offers an immediate response to those in crisis when difficulties seem overwhelming.
  • Campus maps. Use the inbuilt maps to find your way around all three Swinburne campuses.
  • Support services. Information and contact details for Swinburne support services at your fingertips. Services include Health and Wellbeing, International Student Support, Advocacy, AccessAbility, Student Housing and Finance and more.
