This seminar focuses on a vision of a housing system might be. It is commonplace to accept that the housing system in many countries is “broken” but there is little awareness or agreement on what the alternatives are. Dealing with abstract values and principles is not always easy to relate to for many people.

The seminar will reflect ongoing work done through the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence using experiments to try to engage stakeholders in thinking about basic principles of a 'good' housing system. The results will then be applied to the UK, Australia and New Zealand as a thought experiment to see the implications for housing policy.
