Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research Initiatives presented by Dr Justin Trounson
In 2017, Dr Justin Trounson was appointed as Swinburne’s Inaugural Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research Fellow. The research fellowship is one of Swinburne University’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) strategies designed to encourage Indigenous research initiatives and facilitate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers to join the Swinburne community. As part of the Indigenous Studies seminar series Dr Trounson will highlight some of the current research projects he is engaged in as part of the fellowship. The projects involve a broad range of research collaborations that span the fields of health, disability services, forensic psychology, education, legal studies, well-being and organisational psychology.
