Rape Culture: Three domains of operation

Rape culture is a complex social structure which permeates all dimensions of society. Using Risman's (2004) framework for understanding gender as a social structure, this thesis will conceptualise the operation of rape culture and its social processes at the institutional, interactional and individual levels of society. This conceptual scaffolding seeks to illuminate the persistence and stability of rape culture.
