This seminar explores some of the myths associated with adolescence, and aims to provide some tips for moving through this developmental stage. If you are a parent or carer of an adolescent, then this is a talk not to be missed.
Katie Wood - BBSc. (Hons.), Phd (Clinical), La Trobe
Katie is a senior lecturer and clinical psychologist at Swinburne University of Technology. She convenes the Master of Clinical Psychology and Master of Counselling. She also teaches clinical psychology and counselling trainees. She earned her PhD at La Trobe University and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society College of Clinical Psychologists. Previously, Katie worked at Albert Road Centre for Health where she was the team leader of an adolescent day program. She has also worked at Eastern Health Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service. Katie has been in private practice for over 20 years, specialising in working with young people, their families and schools.
