This talk will address the role of music and dance therapy in palliative care, aged care, and progressive neurological diseases.
Presenter
Professor Meg Morris is the Head of the School of Allied Health at Latrobe University. She is a world-renowned researcher in the field of Parkinson’s disease and has published over 200 articles and four books. She has supervised more than 35 doctoral students and is a Fellow of the Australian college of Physiotherapists.
About the Seminar Series
The Swinburne Wellbeing Clinic for Older Adults presents an exciting series of seminars featuring guest presenters who are experts in the field of mental health and ageing to cover issues relating to late life conditions and treatments. In this seminar, Prof Meg Morris will present a lecture titled "Music and dance therapy in palliative care, progressive neurological and aged care".
About the Wellbeing Clinic for Older Adults
The Wellbeing Clinic for Older Adults is a confidential counselling and support service for older adults living in residential and community settings. This service is run by psychology, counselling and social work students through Swinburne University of Technology.
The clinic also provides aged care professionals with mental health training and conducts research on the psychology of ageing.
