Forum i4.0: People-Technology-Connections - May
Swinburne is at the forefront of Industry 4.0.
Industry 4.0 and digital convergence impacts all discipline and functional areas of business. Swinburne joined the National Industry 4.0 Testlab pilot program early this year and more recently won an Australian Business Award for Industry 4.0 Initiatives. Work in this area is becoming a core element of Swinburne and our infrastructure and research capabilities are growing to support this.
The Industry 4.0 Monthly Forum is being established by academics, researchers and PhD students interested in understanding how technology is converging and potentially impacting across disciplines, with the aim of sharing knowledge and spurring new research initiatives.
The forum will include a series of brief (5 minute) presentations followed by an opportunity to discuss the impacts and opportunities for research collaboration.

Can AI do this job? Hear from our industry experts!
Can AI write a lesson plan for a new teacher? What about a script for a hit TV show? Can we use it for images, design, and more? This Swinburne-led panel brings together three experts from education, screenwriting, and design to take a closer look at AI-generated outputs and discuss what it can and can’t do in their industries.
