Microsoft Office 365 for students

If you're a current Swinburne University of Technology student, you can use Microsoft Office 365 online and install the latest Microsoft Office applications for free:

  • Word
  • Excel
  • Outlook
  • PowerPoint
  • OneNote
  • Skype for Business
  • OneDrive for Business (with 1TB of storage)
  • Access
  • Publisher

You can install Microsoft Office on up to five PCs or Macs, five tablets (Windows, iPad, or Android) and five phones. You also have access to 1 TB of cloud storage with Microsoft OneDrive.

Log in to Microsoft Office 365 using your student username ( to install Office 2016. For help visit Microsoft Online support.

To keep the software activated, you must connect to the internet at least once every 30 days. Once you are no longer an enrolled student, your Office 365 subscription will expire. Please ensure any files you want to keep are transferred to a personal OneDrive account or an alternate storage solution before the completion date of your course.

ELMS (Microsoft Imagine) is available to students in enrolled in current FSET (Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology), Design, Media and IT or Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering subjects.
