Final assessments replacing exams
The university is committed to supporting you through your studies during this challenging period. As a result, there will be no final exams this period. Final exams will be replaced with alternative assessments to be delivered by the unit conveners during the final assessment period, which takes place after the teaching end date of the period.
SWOTVAC: Monday 2 November to Wednesday 4 November 2020
Final Assessment Periods:
- Study Period 2, 2020: Monday 31 August to Friday 4 September
- Study Period 3, 2020: Monday 30 November to Friday 4 December
- Semester 2, 2020: Thursday 5 November to Friday 20 November

If exams are a part of your assessment, you need to make sure you can sit all your exams. To find out if your unit has an exam, check your unit outline or ask your unit convenor.
You must be available for the full exam period and special exam period. Don’t book a holiday for these dates.
While you should try to arrive at your exam venue with 30 minutes to spare before the exam start time, you will still be allowed to sit your exam if you arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time.
If you arrive more than 30 minutes after the scheduled start time, you will not be allowed to sit the exam. You may be able to apply for special consideration if the reason for your lateness meets the eligibility criteria.
Illness and special circumstances
You can only miss an exam and be given an opportunity to sit at a later date under very special circumstances.
These arrangements are for serious cases that meet specific conditions.
