Trouble attending your exam

If exams are a part of your assessment, you need to make sure you can sit all your exams. To find out if your unit has an exam, check your unit outline or ask your unit convenor.

You must be available for the full exam period and special exam period. Don’t book a holiday for these dates.

Running late

While you should try to arrive at your exam venue with 30 minutes to spare before the exam start time, you will still be allowed to sit your exam if you arrive within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time.

If you arrive more than 30 minutes after the scheduled start time, you will not be allowed to sit the exam. You may be able to apply for special consideration if the reason for your lateness meets the eligibility criteria.

Illness and special circumstances

You can only miss an exam and be given an opportunity to sit at a later date under very special circumstances.

If you experience exceptional circumstances or are ill, check whether you are eligible to apply for special consideration or an alternate assessment arrangement.

These arrangements are for serious cases that meet specific conditions.

If you have a disability or long-term health condition, you can apply for an equitable assessment arrangements.
