City of Casey Team Leader in Engagement and Advocacy, Dinuki Scharenguivel, is a seasoned professional.

In the past 10 years she has worked on projects in IT, construction, and government. There’s not much she can’t do, but when given the chance to gain a formal project management qualification through Swinburne’s accredited Diploma of Project Management, Dinuki saw an opportunity to improve her project management skills and gain confidence that was too good to miss.

Dinuki - Diploma of Project Management

“The project management tools and techniques learnt from the diploma have helped me develop a comprehensive approach to project management."

“The diploma reinforced the importance of continually monitoring and controlling a project, to ensure it is on track to meet agreed objectives throughout its lifecycle.”

For Dinuki undertaking further study has been a valuable experience, but not without its own challenges, particularly when juggling kids, work and study, but as Dinuki explains in the end the struggle is worth it.

  • "The skills and knowledge gained from completing this diploma have given me the confidence to better manage future projects."
