Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation

Course Director, Professor Mile Terziovski and Pitcher Partners Executive Director, David Knowles talk about Swinburne’s Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Who you are

You may already have a business you’re looking to grow, or the kernel of an idea you’re raring to launch. You could also be an intrapreneur who wants to lead innovative thinking within the organisation you work for, whether that’s public, private or non-profit. In any case, you’ll have a burning desire to forge a path of your own and you’re ready to learn how to do it. Entrepreneurship doesn’t have to be ‘in your DNA’ – it can be taught.

Where it can take you

You’ll acquire the specialist edge you need to instigate, lead and manage innovation in any environment you find yourself in. With your actionable knowledge and skills, you could develop new enterprises or take on senior managerial roles within other organisations. As jobs in traditional industries decline you’ll develop a mindset that will enable you to forge your own path.

I had an idea, quit my job, and enrolled in the AGSE. I loved the practicality of the course. And it helped me take my own idea, RefLIVE, from start-up to the number one technology of choice for referees in over 80 countries.

Simon Murphy Founder & CEO, RefLIVE

How you’ll study

Busy people enter our courses, which is why we design them to minimise the impact on your professional and personal life. Our Entrepreneurship and Innovation units are delivered in intensive mode, which means classes are taught in fully-catered day and half day blocks on Fridays, Saturdays and after hours. You’ll also have the opportunity to attend some units at our industry partners’ premises.
