Alternative Assessment Arrangements

In conjunction with staff from the relevant Swinburne Division, alternative assessment arrangements can be negotiated to enable students with disabilities to meet course requirements. This may be in the form of extra writing or reading time for exams, special equipment, seating requirements, alternative forms of assessment or use of a scribe or reader.

To be eligible for Alternative Assessment Arrangements students must be registered with the Disability Support Service and appropriate medical documentation should be supplied to the Disability Liaison Officer.

Alternative assessment arrangements must be organised at least four weeks prior to the examination period commencing. For students with temporary disabilities short-term alternative assessment arrangements can be arranged within this four week period.

Contact the Disability Liaison Officer for your campus or entity for further information.
