No matter what your situation, Pregnancy is a major life event. Whether you feel overjoyed to be starting a family, or afraid of how to handle an unexpected pregnancy, there are many important and life changing decisions to be made. Family and friends who have been through similar experiences, can have valuable contributions to your decisions, and provide support during times of difficulty.

While debate continues about the rights and wrongs of abortion and birth control, in Victoria women are given the choice of aborting unwanted pregnancies. Many situations may influence this choice, including religion, finances and your career. It is important to consider the options available to you before making a decision to have an abortion. Speaking with a counsellor or health professional can help you to examine the options available to you, and work through this difficult decision process.
