This information is available to download in a word document
This page contains relevant information and resources for students concerned about returning to study after a long break.
Commencing a new course, or making a career change is often a difficult process, especially if you have been out of the education scene for some time. Not only must you face re-learning how to write essays and getting yourself back into the study frame of mind, mature age students can sometimes experience difficulties making friends and feeling like they fit in. You may feel out of touch with your, typically younger, classmates and unexpected implications to family life and finances may be taking their toll. There are a number of services at Swinburne University dedicated ensuring all students have the opportunity to enjoy studying and support those who may face additional challenges, such as mature age students.
Check out the services and resources below for further information and assistance for students returning to study.
