This service is intended for students of Swinburne University and TAFE, who have personal questions about psychological and emotional issues, which they may not feel comfortable asking a counsellor face-to-face. If your questions relate to a specific course or service at Swinburne please use the Ask George service instead.

I have read the Swin-eCounselling Terms and Conditions and understand that Swin-eCounselling is provided as a short-term counselling and advice service intended to assist Swinburne students to access resources and information to help overcome possible psychological and emotional difficulties. I understand that my Swin-eCounselling questions will be confidential. However, legal compliance requires that if the responding counsellor is concerned about my safety or the safety of others, then this confidentiality may be broken. Records may be subpoenaed for court in exceptional circumstances. Under no other circumstances will the confidentiality of my personal record be broken. I understand that my confidential records remain the property of Swin-eCounselling, Swinburne University Of Technology. I may request to view my personal information in these records. Swinburne University values and is committed to protecting the privacy of its students. Please refer to http://www.swinburne.edu.au/privacy.htm for further information on Swinburne's privacy policy.

I understand that service-wide statistical, non identifying material may be generated to allow the planning and provision of services. This material may be used by Student Development and Counselling, Swinburne Psychology Clinic, and other areas of Swinburne University for funding, management, planning, monitoring and improvement or evaluation of services.
