Aims and objectives

Learning Outcomes
Students who complete this unit of study should have:
  • The cognitive skills and practical ability to develop applications within the .NET framework (involving technologies such as VB.NET, C#, ADO.NET, XML, ASP.NET, Report Generators, VBA)
  • The cognitive skills and practical ability to demonstrate file handling by using VB .NET 
  • The cognitive skills and practical ability to develop applications using a multi layered design approach 
  • The cognitive skills and ability to identify, analyse, synthesise and articulate human-computer interaction concepts and apply them when designing and building software application
  • The cognitive skills and practical ability to develop, debug, test and document software to a high standard 
  • The cognitive skills and practical ability in basic object oriented programming
  • The cognitive and creative skills to approach and analyse problems from multiple point of views and innovative design (technical or analytical), make appropriate choices based on soundly articulated rationale
