Overview

This unit requires students to thoroughly investigate the policies and procurement contexts of BIM, focusing on managing the collaborative BIM process across the asset lifecycle up to operations, using the ISO 19650 and PAS/BS 1192 BIM standards and state government policies and guidelines. Emphasis is placed on individual learning, according to professional context, within or outside of the supply chain (i.e. design and construct stakeholders). Based on the details of a real project, the students will apply their learning to produce the applicable documentation to govern the project and learn how these plans are structured and advanced over time.
