Aims and objectives

The unit
• will give students an overview of key concepts and production techniques.
• will provide an introduction to the creation and animation of objects using a popular 3D package.
• will provide insight into the art and business of the 3D industry.
Following successful completion of this unit students will:
• have an overview of key 3D concepts and production techniques
• have an overview of explorative methods of developing designs on the computer,
• be able to critically analyse appropriate methods of three dimensional and two dimensional communication and presentation,
• be able to apply appropriate communication methods for design development and presentation.
