TAFE VTAC Course Codes

The 5 digit VTAC Course Code is used in your VTAC online application. These codes tell VTAC what course type, campus and fee structure you are applying for.

There are two types of TAFE courses:

Type 1: Government Subsidised Places

VTAC Course Codes for TAFE courses that end in a "1" (eg. 77201) represent Australian Government subsidised places. This course code type applies to all Swinburne TAFE courses except Aviation and Fitness (refer to Fee Paying Places).

In 2008 student fees were approximately $1.37 per contact hour, with fees ranging from $55 (for current recipients of some approved government benefits, pensions and allowances) to a maximum of $877 per calander year. Additional charges may apply for materials and equipment required for your course of study. There are no government loan schemes available for TAFE courses.

Type 2: Fee Paying Places

You will be liable to pay the tuition fee directly to the TAFE School administering the course.
