Description & Purpose
The purpose of a Status Letter is to verify a student’s current or past enrolment at Swinburne University of Technology.
It is used to apply for permanent residency, Centrelink checks, application to various professional organizations, proof of student status at banks etc.
Information contained
- Student ID number
- Full name of student
- Semester address
- Course commencement date
- Study load
- Title of course
- Study conducted in English (For International Students only, unless otherwise requested)
For Centrelink purposes, semesters and year of attendance can be stated.
Who can apply?
All current and non-current Swinburne University of Technology students.
Cost
There is no charge for a Status Letter.
Processing Time
A status letter generally take two (2) working days to process, however at peak times (December to March period) it may take up to four (4) working days.
Application Procedure
You can request a Status Letter online
For students who require a letter for the Iranian Embassy, please come into the Student Information Centre at Hawthorn campus and speak to the international counter staff. A status letter will not contain the information that you require.
