Testamurs
Your testamur will include your name, program title, the signatures of the Chancellor, Vice Chancellor and Registrar and the date of conferral. For Higher Education students, Industry Based Learning, Honours level and Distinctions will appear where applicable.
Your testamur is a legal document, affixed with the University seal. You cannot receive a replacement testamur if you have given the original copy away.
Letters of Completion (LOC)
A letter of completion states your personal details, course code and date you completed your course. For higher education students, IBL, honours level, majors, minors, distinction will appear if applicable. A letter of completion is used as an interim document until the conferral of your award (when you receive your testamur).
To receive a letter of completion you will need to apply to graduate. The Graduation department will send you a letter of completion, once they receive confirmation from your Faculty/ School that you are eligible to graduate. It takes approximately four weeks after the official publication of results for your LOC to be mailed out.
If you require your LOC urgently please state the reason when you apply to graduate.
Nested Letters of Completion
This section is only applicable for Higher Education students enrolled in a nested program.
If you are continuing studies to a higher level (e.g. you have completed a Graduate Diploma but are still enrolled in a Masters course) you can request for a Nested LOC. The letter will state the completion date of the first component of a higher award and confirm continuation of studies to that higher level.
Academic Transcripts
An academic transcript is an official signed record of your academic history for a program of study, including confirmed completion and graduation dates authorised by the Director of Student Operations. For higher education students; IBL, honours level, majors, minors, distinction will appear if applicable.
You are only eligible for an academic transcript if you have completed the course. You will receive one copy of your academic transcript with your testamur. If you require an academic transcript before your graduation, you can apply for one by submitting the Academic Transcripts Application form along with payment.
Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement
The Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement is a new document (effective from March 2011) provided to all Higher Education students on graduation from universities across Australia. The statement will be comparable across universities, and contains similar information to the academic transcript.
Results Certificate
A results certificate gives a complete listing of all grades awarded for a course of study, but does not include course completion date or graduation date.
Statement of Attainment
A record of successfully completed, nationally accredited units of study which have been undertaken within a TAFE program of study.
Your Postnominals
Once you graduate, you are officially entitled to use your qualification in your title.
