Graduation Checklist

You will need to apply to graduate before the closing date as late applications will not be accepted.
Clear any debts or library fines as these will prevent your award being conferred.
Debts or library fines need to be cleared at least 4 weeks prior to award conferral / graduation ceremony date.
Ensure your award title, majors, minors, honours levels and IBL (if applicable) are accurate before graduation. If there are any errors after conferral your award will be revoked. If there are any discrepencies with your award, contact us at least 1 month before the graduation.
The legal name you enrolled with will appear on the testamur. To amend your name (once you have applied to graduate) please immediately submit an Amendment to Application for Award/ Graduation. Name changes must be supported by legal documents.
Make sure that your postal address is current as you may miss out on important documents and information being sent to you. If you are changing address please advise your new address and date when it will be effective from.
If you are attending a ceremony make sure you wait until you are eligible to graduate before you book flights. Swinburne will not be held accountable for flights booked.
