How to Apply
- International Students Information on applying for a Swinburne University program as an international student.
- Undergraduate and TAFE Programs Bachelor Degrees, Double Degrees, Pre-Apprenticeships, Apprenticeships and Traineeships, Certificate III, Certificate IV, Graduate Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diplomas.
- Postgraduate Programs Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master Degrees.
- Single Unit of Study

units of study. - Summer/Winter Terms
When to Apply
Applications through VTAC commence in August each year. Timely applications close during the last week of September.
Although late applications will be accepted by VTAC until mid December, some programs that have special requirements will not accept late applications.
Direct Applications
Higher Education
For Higher Education programs not offered through the VTAC system, you will need to complete a direct entry application form. You can find the exact application procedure by searching for the program through our online course database.
TAFE
For part time study with the TAFE division, or for those TAFE courses that are not offered through the VTAC system, you can find the application procedure for the program you wish to study by searching through our online course database.
Mid-Year Entry
Swinburne's mid-year intake is direct entry only and not through VTAC.

Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS)
The Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) is offered through VTAC for applicants who have been unable to reach their full educational potential or who may have restricted access to the course of their choice because of thier life circumstances.
