  • helping with your transition to university study
  • running a mentor program to allow successful students to give you the benefit of their experience at Swinburne
  • organising study groups to provide you with support from other students and a group leader or academic development adviser – there are study groups for specific units and study groups for faculties
  • assisting students who have been identified as “at risk” or probation / “show cause” students address barriers to achieving their best academic results
  • Strategies for Success: a short course designed to give you the skills you need to succeed at university.

Issues we frequently advise students on include:

  • overcoming barriers to academic success
  • getting the most out of lectures and tutorials
  • successful study techniques and time management skills
