Lisa joined SPL in January 2007 and has worked on 2 major projects for the unit. In 2007 she coordinated Educational Programs for secondary school students, and in 2008/09 she managed Swinburne’s podcasting initiative: Swinburne on iTunes U.

In 2010 Lisa became Swinburne's Academic Advisor (Educational Technologies), which involves setting strategies around the use of technology in teaching and learning, monitoring and recommending changes to technology in use at Swinburne, liaison between academic staff, HEd and ITS, and providing professional development to teaching staff on how educational technologies (e.g. blogs, wikis, podcasts) can be used to enhance student learning.

Lisa is a professional astronomer by trade with a firm belief that engaged students are the key to Australia’s future.

Research Projects:

Current research projects include discovering what technologies Swinburne academic staff are using in their teaching for comparison to what is currently supported by Swinburne, and a communications project with students.
