The Swinburne Professional Learning (SPL) Unit operates under the leadership of the Academic Director, Professor Janet Gregory and the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic), Shirley Leitch. Please select this following link to view the SPL organisational chart.

The focus of Swinburne Professional Learning includes major activities related to:

Leadership in learning and teaching and curriculum development
Planning, development and implementation of strategic projects
Liaising with faculties, corporate areas, service units and TAFE
Providing and engaging in a wide range of professional development activities
Supporting the use of educational technology
Delivery of the Professional Certificate and Graduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching
Support for, and engagement in, applications for learning and teaching related awards, scholarships, and grants
Evaluative research which feeds back into improvements in Swinburne student outcomes
