Creating Sustainable Assessment for Long-term Learning

Assessment tasks shape what students regard as important, how they study and what they learn. They equip students with the knowledge, skills and dispositions they carry with them well beyond the end of their courses.

Professor Boud's Keynote covered the following questions: 'How can assessment be designed to not only contribute to current learning and the needs of certification, but to also have a positive influence on learning beyond the course?' 'How can we ensure that assessment is integral to learning and not just a bolt-on to the curriculum?'
