CAE Australia Flight Training

CAE Australia Flight Training is the largest flight training network in the world and has partnered with Swinburne since 1992 to deliver the first bachelor degree level flying course in Victoria and still the only bachelor degree course in Victoria where the flight training is integrated with the academic program.

Based at Moorabbin Airport, CAE Australia Flight Training in Melbourne combines a premier ground school course with high-quality flying instruction which leads to the award of a ‘frozen’ Air Transport Pilot’s Licence issued in accordance with Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) requirements.

The training facilities at Moorabbin include a modern fleet of EFIS Cessna 172 single engine and Piper PA44 multi-engine training aircraft and a fully equipped simulator training centre featuring 5 simulators including a CRJ200 GenJet sim.

The Melbourne training program incorporates many elements which go well beyond the minimum requirements for a licence. Cadets receive training consistent with airline expectations and are well equipped to meet the challenges facing airline pilots today.
