Mark Finn is a Lecturer in Media and Communications at Swinburne
University of Technology.
Mark received a PhD from the Queensland University of Technology
in 2000 for a thesis that traced the development of the Internet
from 1968 to 1996, and since then has continued to focus on the broad
area of new media.
He is currently conducting research into two main subjects, the
first of which is development and usage of mobile computers, and
in particular their application to education. The second subject
is the social and cultural implications of video games. He is currently
lecturing in Media and Communications at the Swinburne University
of Technology in Melbourne, and has previously taught at both QUT
and Griffith University in Queensland.
