Dr. Karen Farquharson is a Lecturer in Sociology at Swinburne.
She is currently conducting research into the Sociology of the Internet
focussing on the impact of online learning software on students’ friendship
networks, and the sociological structures of online parenting communities.
She is also examining Australian attitudes towards new technologies,
using data from the Swinburne National Technology and Society Monitor.
