Biography

William Young - PhD (Melb), GCert L&T, MBA, MEng, BEng, LFAIPM, CPPD, FIEAust, CPEng, NER, APEC Engineer IntPE (Aus).
Young commenced his engineering, business and project management career in the late 1970s and is globally recognised for his industry leadership roles working across the process chemical, manufacturing, and mining industries. He has worked in; Europe, Asia, USA, Africa, and Australia. Based in China (2009 – Dec. 2015).
Continuously acted as a Company Director since 1985.
Young is a Swinburne Industry Fellow (2016 - present) and Adjunct Professor at RMIT University (2018 - present).
He is founder and past President of Asia Pacific Federation of Project Management (2010 – Sept. 2020), past President of the Australian Institute of Project Management (2007 – 2011), and former Vice Chairman of the Global Mining Association of China (2013 - 2014).
Recognized in 2014 by Engineers Australia as being in the top 100 most influential Engineers in Australia. 
Editorial Board Member - Journal of Modern Project Management; Member of International Advisory Board - Journal of Applied Project Management; Global Advisor - Project Management World Journal, USA.
