Exempt dealings

Exempt dealings are a category of dealings with GMOs that have been assessed over time as posing a very low risk (i.e. contained research involving very well understood organisms and processes for creating and studying GMOs).

More information about what exempt dealings are can be found on the OGTR website.

Please complete the Application for Biosafety Clearance and Exempt Dealings Inventory forms for work involving exempt dealings. Be sure to clarify why the dealing is exempt. Submit the form via email to the Research Ethics Office at resethics@swinburne.edu.au.

Work cannot commence until written approval has been received.
