Customised Graduate Certificate programs

All of our graduate certificate streams can be customised and run in-house to develop professional skills for organisations and staff.

Subjects are tailored to ensure relevancy to your organisation. A course facilitator will meet with you to ensure the content is customised with organisational case studies, policies and values.

Postgraduate programs for industry

The Graduate Certificate programs are a postgraduate qualification emphasising development of professional skills, critical analysis and strategic thought in a specialised discipline. These programs may be contextualised to your organisational requirements.

They may be delivered in-house, or your people can attend classes at our campuses in Hawthorn and Prahran on weekday evenings or weekends, or study online. Facilitated by industry experts and academics, these awards articulate into Swinburne’s Master of Business Management (MBM).

Our fully accredited Graduate Certificate awards for 2011 include: Business Management, Project Management, Human Resources Management, Supply Chain Management, Executive Administration and Public Relations.

The pathway from training to higher education

Training provided during the study of vocational qualifications (Certificates to Advanced Diplomas) is designed around skill competencies and aligned to training packages.

Vocational training offers an entry level of study for your staff as well as more advanced skills as the qualifications progress to Advanced Diplomas. There is also the opportunity for government funding support for eligible candidates.

Postgraduate study is quite different. It is not just skills based, but rather based on curriculum aligned to the development of knowledge, the comprehension of theories, the development of judgement, and critical analysis as a basis for sound business decision making.
