Staff profiles


Bronwyn Tanti

Bronwyn is the program coordinator for the Graduate Certificate of Business Management.

She has worked in the youth and community sectors for over 20 years including in London and across the United Kingdom.

Bronwyn started at Swinburne six years ago and has been working with the Graduate Certificate of Business Management since 2009.

Bronwyn is your first point of call for any questions about your studies and the course.



Bernadette Van LunenburgBernadette Van Lunenburg

Bernadette has been working for over 20 years in areas of training, management, sales, marketing and sales management.

She has also managed her own business. Bernadette has been teaching at Swinburne for nine years and holds a Bachelor of Business and a Diploma of Business (Management).

She is currently enrolled in the Master of Commerce (Maketing).



Geoff AtkinsonGeoff Atkinson

Geoff has a Bachelor of Economics, Diploma of Education and Graduate Certificate in Business (International Trade).

After working in business for over six years, Geoff joined the team at Swinburne.

He has been a saught after teacher in the TAFE and higher education sector for many years, working across multiple institutions.



Joanne FentonJoanne Fenton

Joanne is an Executive Coach and Organisational Psychologist.

She has worked as a senior manager in both the public and private sectors providing strategic advice, human resource planning and organisational consultancy services.



Katia LeonaiteKatia Leonaite

Katia is a supply chain professional with over 10 years experience across the agriculture and retail industries.

She completed her Master of Business Administration at Macquarie Graduate School of Management before moving into a supply chain role for a government railway.

Her career has seen her working with some of Australia’s leading organisations, including Patrick Corporation, Australia Post and Coles Group.



Jim BurrowsJim Burrows

Jim joined the corporate world in 1995 after spending 17 years in the air force industry.

He has worked across many management roles and industries including automotive and aerospace.

Jim has always enjoyed coaching and mentoring roles and couldn’t turn down the opportunity to teach at Swinburne.



Jill Bamforth

Jill has a background in business development in the telecommunications industry.

She now teaches across multiple business areas, both at Swinburne and abroad.

Her current research interests include money management (the topic of her PhD which is due for completion in 2011) and how educational pedagogy affects student performance.



Andrea McCall

Andrea has a bilingual degree in history and politics from the University of Lyon, France, including a bi lingual business diploma from the Institute Francais, London.

She also holds a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment as well as numerous other courses in skills building.

Andrea is highly regarded as a public speaker on a variety of issues and has assisted a number of organisations in dealing with government.




Julian Chong

Julian Chong has been teaching at Swinburne since 1989, a few years after completing her Bachelor of Economics.

During her time at Swinburne, Julian completed a Graduate Diploma in Education as well as a Graduate Diploma in Business Information Technology. 

Julian teaches subjects in the finance and accounting areas, but particularly enjoys subjects in the area of economics and tax.



Brian Smith

Brian began his professional career in corporate market research. This led to being involved in campaign and market strategy.

He then left the corporate sector to assume the role of CEO of a medium sized services business, followed by 30 years in consultancy in small business management and operations.

Due to the pursuit of higher studies, Brian began extensive teaching and lecturing roles across the higher education and TAFE sectors.



Liz Eades

Liz has over 20 years of experience in the fields of marketing and management.

She has managed her own business since 2004 where she actively consults to clients on marketing, communication and management issues.

Liz holds a Masters in Marketing, a Master of Business Administration, and a qualification in workplace training.

She also is an Associate Fellow and Certified Practicing Marketer of the Australian Marketing Institute and is a member of the Australian Institute of Management.
