TAFE and Higher Education
TAFE students are undertaking Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses.
Higher Education (HE) students are undertaking Bachelor (undergraduate) courses or postgraduate courses such as Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters and PhDs.

Do I have to attend orientation?
Answer:
Yes, there are several compulsory academic sessions and some optional social sessions. Visit the orientation programs for further information. -
What do I need to bring to orientation?

A copy of your orientation program, a notepad, a pen. -
Can I bring my friend/parents to orientation with me?
Answer:
We recommend that you come to orientation alone. Remember, all students at orientation are in the same boat as you so it's a great opportunity for you to meet people in your course and make new friends. -

The My.Swinburne system gives students the opportunity to access information from seven of the most commonly used university web applications using a single username and password. Please note your enrolment has to be completed before you can access this service.
From the student portal, users can access information from:
- Allocate Plus (viewing timetable information for Higher Education students)
- Student webmail access
- Blackboard course information (for Higher Education students)
- WebCT course information (for TAFE students)
- Library Information (loans, holds, fines, etc.)
