When is Swinburne Open Day?
Swinburne Open Day will be held on Sunday 21 August 2011, from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
Which campuses will be available?
Three of Swinburne's campuses will open:
- Hawthorn
- Lilydale
- Prahran
Please note: Croydon and Wantirna campuses will be closed. Croydon and Wantirna course information will be available at the Lilydale campus.
Swinburne also has an international campus in Sarawak, Malaysia. Information about Sarawak will be available at Hawthorn, Lilydale and Prahran campuses on Open Day.
How many people can I bring with me?
There is no limit to the number of guests you can bring with you. Most visitors will bring family and friends for a fun day out.
Do I have to pay to attend?
There is no charge to visit and take part in our Open Day.
What information will be available?
Information will be available on all Swinburne courses at both the TAFE and university level.
You'll also be able to attend specific course information sessions, see displays and performances, talk to staff, current and past students about the Swinburne experience.
We encourage visitors to join a campus tour and visit our student residences if they're considering living on campus.
Can I take a guided campus tour?
Yes. Tour guides will be on hand to show you around your campus of choice. A campus tour generally takes 30 minutes.
Who can I talk to about my course options?
Dedicated and passionate lecturers, course coordinators, administrative staff, selection officers, as well as past and current students will all be available to answer your questions and discuss your course options.
Can I have a look inside the student residences?
Yes. The student residences will be open for inspection at Open Day.

Can I put in an application while I'm attending Open Day?
Some courses will take applications on the day, whereas others will require you to apply through VTAC.
You will need to enquire with the specific course administrators at Open Day, or alternatively you can check the application procedures on relevant course listing in Course Search.
Can I pay for my course on Open Day?
No. You'll be given information on payment arrangements after being offered a place.
