Training to take NAPLAN online

- Swinburne Professional supports Victorian schools to transition to NAPLAN online
- 214 training sessions delivered across Victoria over 3.5 weeks
- 1000 Victorian schools transitioning to NAPLAN online from May 2019
Schools across Australia are moving from paper-based NAPLAN assessments to computer-based tests over the next three years.
In Victoria, that means more than 2000 schools with students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 will need to implement and support new methods of test taking.
This important initiative will affect families and more than 280,000 children across the state each year. It requires significant commitment and input from schools, and training to support them to effectively run the test in the new online environment.
In Victoria, 1000 schools will transition to online assessments from May 2019. Understanding the online platform and learning how to effectively prepare for and implement the change are priority training needs.
Swinburne Professional, with its flexible workforce and industry-leading training expertise, has partnered with the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority to deliver this specialist training – with more than 200 sessions taking place across the state over the next 3.5 weeks.
Ready, set, go
Starting 23 July, Swinburne Professional workplace facilitators will put test coordinators and principals from 1,000 Victorian schools through their NAPLAN online paces.
The Swinburne division tailors and accelerates learning programs for professional individuals and organisations.
As part of a contract to support the change, Swinburne Professional will call on its flexible network of over 105 qualified, experienced and industry leading workplace facilitators to deliver 214 NAPLAN workshops across the state.
Leading this major undertaking is Swinburne Professional Senior Consultant Sarah Weiss, who says the team’s unique approach to problem solving sets them apart.

NAPLAN is the annual National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy test for mandated by the Federal Government for all students in Years 3, 5 7 and 9.
