About the Resource Bank

To ensure greater understanding of sustainability in 2004 the National Centre for Sustainability in partnership with a number of State and National organisations developed Guideline Competency Standards (GCS) for Sustainability. It is anticipated that these GCS be taken up by industry Training Packages (TP) over the next 3 years.

To support the uptake and the customisation of these GCS the Department of the Environment and Heritage have funded the development of a 'Resource Bank'. The Resource Bank provides traning deliverers with an interactive web based educational search tool to search and locate education and resource materials on sustainability for use in the classroom.

The 'Resource Bank' functions like a search engine. Users will have a series of fields in which they will be able to search for information in a desired field. Training providers may also share their existing resources with other users by submitting learning materials for inclusion on the site. The site will regularly be updated with latest materials to ensure availability of latest quality materials
