Background Information
A new tool for Industry - an interactive learning hub using collaboration and facilitated adaptation of leading edge techniques to help you on the path to sustainability.
Facilitated by industry experts Dr Paul Tebo (President, The Tebo Group, retired Vice President HSE for DuPont) and Bob Willard (author of The Sustainability Advantage)
This is a chance to develop the “how to do’s” for your business from practitioners who have “done it”. The Business Transformer is a chance to experience first hand the development of the approaches necessary for progress. It also allows you to interactively develop local, appropriate approaches in your organisational context. The Business Transformer incorporates both educational and active participation.
Incorporating the Sustainable Enterprise Model (as adopted by Dupont) this series will consist of:

Working Groups with a MAXIMUM participation of 15 organisations |

Sessions held once every 3 months over 12 months (4 sessions in total) |

In house workshops and opportunity assessments |

Working with other industries in a network, partnering to encourage support and cross fertilisation |

The program last year :
In 2007, the Business Transformer II was delivered to twelve businesses within the Shire of Yarra Ranges (SYR). The second year of the program enjoyed significant support and funding from the SYR itself and Sustainability Victoria (SV) and witnessed some remarkable achievements amongst its participants. Focusing on the delivery of low-carbon emission solutions to business, the participants succeeded in reducing their combined greenhouse gas emissions by 2,892 tonnes!

The NCS is currently recruiting businesses to participate in Business Transformer III in 2008! If you are interested in becoming part of this unique program offering low carbon solutions to industry, then contact the NCS now. Places are limited.
